Our Mission
Greetings and welcome to our parish website and to Sharon.

We have been established in this historic New England town of rural beauty, stability, and charm for over 200 years. Our colonial brick Church with fine steeple, large parish house, and animal memorial garden is located on The Town Green in Sharon, close by Sharon's landmark Clock Tower.

As a faith community you will notice three threads intertwined that bind us together.

We are not flashy, but we are strong, flexible, inclusive, and faithful. A sense of permanence and tradition underlies all we do. Times change. Things change. The Faith continues, endures.
We endure - loving and loyal, searching and seeking.
We are a long-term caring community respecting feelings, valuing difference, bearing, forbearing, forgiving, hard-working-enduring, amused and amusing. We try not to get too excited over changing fashions and opinions believing: "In essentials unity, in nonessentials diversity, in all things charity."
We are uniquely "a people of the rising." It is not just something we read about in Scripture, but something we have experienced in our own lives - a mysterious rising of hope and renewal of life following losses. God is gracious, kind and forbearing. We are deeply blessed and exceedingly grateful.
