WORSHIP
“Worship the Lord in the Beauty of Holiness” psalm 96
Becoming the Beloved Community:
We are called to worship.
We are called to worship as a community. At Christ Church we gather each Sunday and celebrate the Eucharist with Rite II and music.
We gather, we listen to the Word, we pray, we sing, we partake of the bread and wine consecrated for us, and we go out into the world
to love and to serve. We believe it our Christian responsibility (read response-ability) to engage in liturgy (the work of the people)
that we might show God our gratitude, proclaim God’s holiness, and receive the Holy Spirit that we might be transformed to participate
in God’s mission in the world.
In addition to Sundays we celebrate other sacraments such as Baptisms, Weddings and Funerals.
We also craft special liturgies around Christmas and Easter, Ash Wednesday and Good Friday. In addition we gather together to pray
at times of special celebration, e.g. our 200th Anniversay in November, and times of extreme difficulty or tragedy, e.g. mass shootings.
Our
sanctuary remains open every day to offer anyone who so desires a safe space for prayer and stillness.
All are welcome
to worship with us.
Please contact the office at 860-364-5260
